These terms & conditions detailed have been put in place to ensure that you as the client & the business, Beauty by Terri are both protected. This is to clearly specify what is agreed between both parties and the service that will be provided.

BOOKING FEES & PAYMENT TERMS

A booking fee will be required in order to secure my makeup services for both the trial & event makeup for the date of your choice. All payments can be made via bank trasnfer, Paypal or in cash. A confirmation confirming the details of your booking will be sent once the booking fee has been received. This booking fee is your agreement to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.

For wedding makeup -

  • On confirmation that you want to proceed with the booking, a non-refundable £50 booking fee is required to secure the wedding date which is included in the total price. This booking fee will be deducted from the total cost of the booking.

  • Makeup trials require a £10 booking fee per person to secure a date. This deposit is non refundable, and is included in the cost of the trial. The remainder must be paid 7 days before the makeup trial.

  • Should you wish to add more members of the bridal party, please inform Beauty by Terri in advance so timings can be adjusted for the day. The additional cost will be re-calculated in the final balance.

  • The remaining balance is to be paid no later than 4 weeks before your event date with no exceptions. If the remaining balance is not paid, the booking will be cancelled & the booking fee will be non-refundable.

  • Last minute bookings (those with 4 weeks or less until the date of event), full payment is payable on the day to secure the date.

  • For large bookings, an extra makeup artist will be required for an extra £30.


The person(s) responsible for the full balance of payment is the person(s) who has signed the booking form.

For special occasions & photoshoot makeup -

  • A 50% booking fee will be required within 7 days from when you confirm you would like my services in order to secure the date. Your date will be released & available to book by other clients if the booking fee is not received within 7 days.

  • If you require a trial or special occasion makeup in the next 7 days, the booking fee will need to be made on the day of enquiry to secure the date.

  • The remaining balance will need to be paid on the day of the trial or special occasion makeup.

  • Should you need to re-schedule as you can no longer attend, please get in touch at least 72 hours in advance. If notification is less than 72hrs, it will be deemed as a missed appointment, the booking will be cancelled & the booking fee will be non-refundable. Should you require a new date, a new booking will need to be made.

  • The booking fee is non-refundable (including acts of God, fire, pandemic, illness, strike and/or extreme weather) unless Beauty by Terri cancels the booking. Full cancellation information can be found below.


TRAVEL CHARGES

  • 10 miles total travel is included in all prices per appointment. For distances over 10 miles, 60p will be charged per mile.

  • Journeys over 1.5hrs travel will incur an additional £10 per 30mins.

  • Additional travel expenses may include but not limited to congestion charge zone, toll, parking, airfare & hotel will be covered by the client.

  • For bookings which require a very early start time, or if Terri has to travel more than 2 hours from her home address at SL3, she may require accommodation the night before to ensure a fresh start to the day. This can be discussed with you during the booking process.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If your wedding is postponed for any reason, the deposit can be moved across to the new date with no extra charges. If Terri is not available, she will assist in fully finding you an alternative makeup artist that is similar to her style.

  • Cancellation of the booking by Terri - this will result in a refund of 100% of costs paid by the client for the event. In the unlikely event that I am unable to make your wedding appointment due to an emergency, an act of god, or severe illness, I will again assist fully in helping you find an alternative makeup artist whom I highly recommend. They will receive a brief and any products required that they might not have in their kit. It is at the client’s discretion whether they go ahead with the replacement makeup artist. The client agrees that the refund of 100% of the booking fee in the instance where Terri has to cancel is the only liability to Beauty by Terri.

  • Cancellation of the booking by the client - if you need to cancel an appointment, please contact Terri as soon as possible. Payments already made will not be refunded. If you cancel your appointment within 30 days of the event date, a charge will be payable:

    • Within 30 days of the event date - 50% of the final balance will be charged.

    • Within 14 days of the event date - the full balance will be charged.

  • Terri is happy to make adjustments to the bridal party numbers. If any member of the bridal party (excluding the bride), cancels less than 4 weeks prior to the wedding date the client will incur a 50% charge of the cost of the member of the bridal party.

  • Beauty by Terri reserves the right to terminate the contract for any non-compliance of terms, the contract will become void and all monies given are non-refundable. This booking arrangement cannot be changed after the artist/s arrives for the appointment.

SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

The location of the makeup service for the day-of-event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the makeup artist will need in order to complete the makeup to satisfaction.

  • A set up table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at the makeup location.

  • Working electrical outlets must also be made available for use by the makeup artist.

  • Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lights, is necessary for services to be performed properly.

  • A high chair or bar stool is requested but not necessary. Please let Terri know if a chair cannot be provided.

  • Please remember to wear a button down shirt or dressing gown so you don’t mess up your style while getting dressed.

  • Terri will not be held liable for any injuries that should arise while on location.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY

All brushes, tools & makeup products are kept sanitary & are sanitised between every makeup application. It is the client’s responsibilty to report to Terri & make her aware of any known allergies, skin conditions or skin sensitivities that they or their bridal party may have prior to application. If needs be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reactions. Terri recommends a consultation for this reason. The client agrees to release Beauty by Terri, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

Terri is not liable for any suppliers that she recommends. Any assisting makeup artists will be required to have relevant insurance. Terri has public liability cover for her services.

WEDDING INSURANCE

It is advisable for the client to obtain wedding insurance.

IMAGE USAGE

Terri may take photographs of you at your consultation & wedding day.  They will be used for social media, & portfolio & website purposes. Please state if you would not like any photos taken/used for marketing purposes.
